Thanicare, a value-added reseller of pet memorial services with offices in San Diego and Oklahoma City, today announced that it is making recurring monthly donations to support the Rancho Coastal Humane Society's Military Working Dog (MWD) Memorial.
“We're donating 1% of our annual sales to animal charities, and this monthly gift to the Rancho Coastal Humane Society will help maintain the Military Working Dog Memorial all year long.” said Ron Robinson, the founder of Thanicare. "On this Memorial Day, when we honor those who died in the line of duty, we're acknowledging the sacrifices made by Military Working Dogs that have served and defended our country."
The Military Working Dog Memorial is located at the Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas, California. It is one of eight MWD memorials in the United States, and the first private memorial of it's kind to be dedicated west of the Mississippi. The memorial statue is sculpted into the likeness of a MWD named Chyba, a German Shepherd that served the 95th MP Battalion based in Germany. Chyba worked as a narcotics-detector dog. A cylindrical base displaying crests of the United States Armed Forces supports the statue.

Thanicare has also indicated plans to buy a tribute brick for the Military Working Dog Memorial. "The engraved brick will be placed in a new wall to be constructed at the memorial," added Robinson.
